Scholarships are available through the Archdiocese of Dubuque Marriage Formation Office to help offset the cost of training for medical providers or individuals/couples in the Archdiocese who would like to become Natural Family Planning practitioners. To be considered for a scholarship, interested parties must go through an application process.
Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of up to $2,500 or 50% of the cost of training (whichever is less) for any NFP method approved by the Catholic Church (i.e. meets the USCCB Standards for Diocesan NFP Ministry). These methods and training organizations include the Couple to Couple League, the Creighton Model FertilityCare System, Family of the Americas, Billings Ovulation Method, FEMM Health, the Marquette Model, and SymptoPro Fertility Education. The total amount awarded may be applied to training costs including tuition, books, lodging, and/or travel expenses to and from the training site. Proof of expenses must be provided (e.g. invoices, receipts, etc.). If possible, the Archdiocese will send the funds directly to the training organization (rather than the person being trained).
